I've seen Jessica Jones, it's ok, I've seen heroes though and once you've seen that, this wasn't in that league.

Re: Narcos - Netflix
Been looking for a book about him but seems to be a few. Will give this a gander.

His son's book looks good too.

Apparently the hit has been refreshed on him in Columbia recently because of the books release.

Said he's a dead man.

Re: Narcos - Netflix
He's a proper pyscho in El patron del mal. He gets worse and worse killing wise. Really held his country to ransom by doing anything to get what he wanted.

Never knew that about his wife!!

Re: Narcos - Netflix
Yeah I can't really ha...

Just see him giving housing to thousands of poor people and you think fair play.

Then you think he's worth 100 billion or whatever and has murdered thousands.

I thought the fact he pre-prepared cheating to Monopoly was the worst thing! With his kids! Would buy a new set and open it and hide the money days before they played.

Mental fucker.

I don't know what laws they had in Colombia but Escobar met his wife when she was 13 and he was 24 . he started dating her and married her at 15.

Re: Narcos - Netflix
It gets better Pancho plus it has all narcos stories and more .occasionally they use real footage too. I don't think they needed 74 episodes but I like getting a bigger picture of Escobar. He certainly was the lord of evil which is this shows title.

Re: Narcos - Netflix
I started it but it felt like a poor mans Narcos.

Not sure I could do 70 odd episodes!

Re: Narcos - Netflix
Pancho, yeah that sins of my father excellent doc.
I'm now on episode 37 out 74 pablo Escobar El patron del mal. Much prefer it to narcos. Slower but you really get the whole story of Escobar not just squashed in like narcos.

I found this boring as hell. Can't see why everyone is banging on about it. Very slow moving

Good documentary on Netflix I watched last night.

Sins Of My Father...

Didn't realise they showed such graphic images of his death.

What a way to go. Blood everywhere and bent over a roof with your fat derby hanging out.

I know he was a cunt. But I felt for him.

Just finished reading "The Cartel", Don Winslow's follow up to The Power of The Dog. two of the best books I've ever read. Fiction but all based on some horrifying real life events which are still going on today. One of the main characters in it clearly supposed to be El Chapo. There's an online blog called Borderland Beat that highlights the ongoing Narco wars and bullshit "War on Drugs" in Mexico. It's interesting to read about the demise of one of their football clubs Cuidad Juarez FC as well - Los Indios - Another casualty of the Mexican drug wars.

Re: Narcos - Netflix
Another Escobar series on Netflix
El Escobar patron del mal
Filmed in Colombia, English subtitles.
I'm 12 episodes in to a 74 episode show.
Basically, more fuller version of narcos.
Not as fast moving but what with the Colombians producing it, I imagine you're getting a much more detailed idea of his life.
